Our Projects

Preserving the Past

Preparing for the Future

Preparing for the Future

Replacing the original slate roofing on the church building and the rectory was considered to be of top priority.  Much of the wood in gables and bell tower was reinforced or replaced. Some stained-glass windows require repairs. The original church doors are in need of attention as well as gable over the door (planned for summer 2023).  Stone work repairs on foundations, peanut stone walls, and water troughs throughout the campus are in need of work as rainwater run-off takes its toll on the steep slopes of cemetery areas.

Preparing for the Future

Preparing for the Future

Preparing for the Future

Increasing community use of the buildings and improving overall access to the church guides our vision for the future. The hilltop location of the church has always meant many steps. This presents challenges for almost any level of ability and safety is of concern. Plans have been put forward to improve the buildings accessibility in keeping with historic preservation standards.

In addition to funding projects, the Trust’s endowment must stay intact to help meet future expenses for generations to come. These future projects include repointing of historic peanut stone walls and correcting drainage issues throughout the campus.

Providing for Today

Preparing for the Future

Providing for Today

Air conditioning has been installed in the parish hall making the location more comfortable for groups that use the space in the summer. Providing better access to the second floor of the parish hall is planned as well as bringing all community spaces up to today’s code.

The parish hall is considered to be an excellent space for event and group use.

All Enter As One

Historically there have been many steps to the church

The ALL ENTER AS ONE project will install a permanent, handicap accessible ramp at the main entrance to the narthex of All Saints' Church. This project will include exterior landscape, demolition, ramps, retaining walls, railings, lighting and drainage. The need for this project is well beyond overdue. The steps to enter the church are damaged through years of use and natural weathering conditions. Additionally, the original steps were built with a high riser-tread ratio, making climbing the stairs challenging. It is currently difficult for congregants and guests with mobility impairments who wish to enter the church to worship or attend community events. The masonry access ramp will be compliant with current Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines. This is a single access route to the building that can be used by everyone, regardless of mobility concerns, while balancing historic preservation requirements.
